Saul O Sidore Lecture Series
2016 | Graphic Design, Resource Design

This poster and brochure series was designed for a lecture series being held at Plymouth State University. The lectures focus on issues and events in politics, society, and culture. The posters required a lot of text information so it was critical to give enough space for that while keeping the series interesting to the eye. The new school year allowed for a redesign of this project. I made the photos extend to the full size of the poster and added a color overlay with white text on top instead of using colored boxes like years previous. The colored boxes were also removed from the brochures and I used uppercase lettering to distiguish titles from the rest of the information.

A previous year's version of the poster series that used colored boxes instead of a color overlay.. This year's spring posters followed the style of the Fall 2015 ones though I moved the colored title box to allow more space for the photo behind. Providing room for the photo was a main driving force in my redesign for Fall 2016.

A previous year's version of the poster series that used colored boxes instead of a color overlay. It was important to keep the poster and brochure theme similar. To do this I incorporated the colored box from the poster into the brochure lecture titles. The color of the boxes for the brochure were inspired by the title text from the front of the brochure. This also helped to create a common color theme for the brochure.
