Megacity
2015 | Graphic Design, Course Work

A project to create a tour magazine for a city of our choice. I chose the city of Toronto, ON and focused my three magazine spreads on museums, main tourist attractions, and resturants. One of the project guidelines was that we could only use three colors. I chose brown, blue, and white which meant all of the photos had to be edited to those colors. A lot of this project focused on placement of text and photos.

Mt.Rainier
2016 | Graphic Design, Course Work

For this project we had to choose a National Park and do a complete identity redesign. I chose Mt. Rainier National Park. The main logo was based around the shape of the Washinton State along with a mountain shaped cut in the shape. One of the Park's biggest attractions is their wildflowers so this was also incorporated into the logo. The blue shape of the logo was utilized throughout the rest of the materials and images of animals and flowers were cut into the shapes.

Letter Grid
2014 | Graphic Design, Course Work

A project from my first graphic design class that focused on typography. The purpose of the project was to create nine boxes that contained three letter forms each. The positions, size, and color of the letters could be changed in each box. I used the letters "R", "g", and "e". I focused originally on the compositions of each separate tile and then worked to bring it all together as a strong overall structure. We could use shades of gray but no other colors. I worked to connect tiles to others using connected letter forms of the same color. One of my favorite examples of this is visible in the bottom right two tiles with the connection of the "e" and "R".
